Doug Dunakey is not only an excellent golfer; he also personifies the meaning of a dedicated family man and gentleman. Since he was five years old, Doug has worked on his golf game, playing with his father in Waterloo, Iowa. Doug is a rising player on the PGA TOUR. He has proven that he can compete with the best players in the world with his solid season on the 1999 PGA Tour, and impressive finishes thus far on the 2000 Tour. Doug first earned his 1999 PGA TOUR Card with a 15th place finish on the 1998 NIKE Tour money list During the 1998 NIKE TOUR season, Doug's years of hard work paid off when he carded a record tying 59 in the NIKE Miami Valley Open. Doug is one of only four professional golfers to ever shoot a 59 in a PGA TOUR sanctioned event. A week later, he shot his second straight 7-under-par 65 for a victory in the NIKE Cleveland Open.
